You are invited to join PJ Library for an inspiring community event from RaisingKC and Johnson County Community College! Together, adults from across the city will explore the science of safe, stable, nurturing relationships and how they shape our children's lives.

An Evening with Michaeleen Doucleff

Learn from New York Times Best-Selling Author of Hunt, Gather, Parent, Michaeleen Doucleff, PhD. Doucleff will share lessons we can all learn from ancient civilizations' parenting styles that have been passed down through generations.

You'll come away from this inspiring evening with tips and tools to use today in raising children who want to help their parents and siblings, and a strong understanding of how to boost children's self-confidence and self-sufficiency.

In the weeks following the event, PJ Library invites you to join us for one of our four discussion groups, where we'll put a Jewish twist on Doucleff's lessons of raising kind, capable, calm kids, by adding wisdom from our own Jewish texts, traditions, and mensch-raising history.

This is a free event, and registration includes a ticket to the event, a copy of Doucleff's book Hunt, Gather, Parent and a copy of Discipline with Love and Limits by Jerry L. Wyckoff, PhD and Barbara C. Unell, and access to one of PJ Library's post-event discussion groups.
